Everton were reduced to 10-men in the 37th after Ashley Young was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Liverpool took the lead in the 74th minute when Mohamed Salah converted from the spot following Michael Keane’s handball.
The Egyptian scored the second deep into stoppage time after he was set up by Darwin Nunez.

The win was Liverpool’s first in three games.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will now shift attention to Thursday’s UEFA Europa League clash against Ligue 1 side Toulouse.
Their next Premier League match is a trip to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, October 29.
Everton’s next assignment is a Premier League clash with West Ham.
