Premier League duo Newcastle and West Ham are reportedly battling it out for Monaco defender Djibril Sidibe. The 26-year-old joined Monaco in 2016 and helped the Principality club to win the Ligue 1 title during his debut campaign.

He has been a regular for the French outfit over the past few seasons and was included in France’s World Cup winning squad, although he only featured once in Russia. Monaco’s struggles last term have led to a number of players seeking a move elsewhere and Sidibe falls into that category.
Newcastle and West Ham are reportedly both prepared to offer him an exit route and talks are already underway. It’s understood Monaco are willing to let the defender move on if their valuation of 15million euros is met.
