Southampton and Newcastle are set to battle it out for the services of Hull forward Jarrod Bowen when the transfer window opens again in January.
The 22-year-old has been on the radar of a host of Premier League clubs for some time, but so far the Tigers have managed to keep hold of their prized asset.
That could be about to change though with both Saints and the Magpies said to be preparing big bids for the winger ahead of the new year, and the Tigers could struggle to keep hold.
Bowen finished as Hull’s leading goalscorer last season with 22 goals, and he has carried on in the same fashion in this campaign when firing home four goals in seven appearances.

It will only be a matter of time before he gets the chance to move to a Premier League club, and that time could come in January.
Southampton and Newcastle are showing the biggest amount of interest so far and it is claimed that both clubs have sent scouts to watch him in the opening games of the season.
The scouting reports they have received back are favourable and offers could be in the pipeline.
If Hull do back down and decide to cash in they will demand their £20million valuation be met, but that should not be a problem for either of the two clubs, and could in the end prove to be a bargain.
Hull’s chances of keeping hold have not been helped by the fact they sit 20th in the Championship table and are nowhere near mounting a promotion push, which could convince Bowen to at least see the season out.
There is sure to be further interest from other clubs should Hull make him available, but for now it looks to be a straight scrap between Newcastle and Southampton.
