Summer signing Tosin Adarabioyo got a poor rating in Chelsea’s 4-2 defeat to Manchester City in pre-season on Saturday.
The rating which was compiled by The U.S. Sun, saw Adarabioyo rated four which is the lowest among Chelsea players.
The former Fulham defender was at fault for City taking an early lead, after hitting a pass straight at Jack Grealish.
The ball fell to Erling Haaland, who was tripped by Levi Colwill and converted the penalty – having had to retake after scoring the first attempt.
Commenting on Adarabioyo’s performance, the media outfit wrote: “Handed City the ball in the Chelsea box which resulted in Colwill fouling Haaland to concede an early penalty. Struggled to deal with City’s forwards for most of the game.”
City handed Enzo Maresca and Chelsea a worrying pre-season lesson in Ohio.
Maresca has warned already that the Blues will ship goals when playing out from the back, and they managed to concede two in the opening five minutes.
After giving City the lead, within a minute of the restart, Haaland scored again. This time the Norwegian benefited from Moises Caicedo looking to pass back but finding the feet of the City striker.
He rounded Adarabioyo and finished comfortably.
City managed another quick double after the break too, Oscar Bobb scoring a wonderful goal with a cute finish at the near post before Haaland grabbed his hat-trick – both goals coming after Chelsea had gifted possession.
Substitute Raheem Sterling grabbed one back for Chelsea, smashing home a fine left-footed volley before, in the 89th minute, Noni Madueke scored his second goal in as many games on the break.

Average players doing yanga to play for Nigeria Super eagles when they were in early 20s
Now you are old England is not sure for you .
Overhyped player .
Super eagles does not need you anymore.
I can’t condemn him for having a bad game against Haaland. Most defenders have a torrid time keeping Haaland quiet.
Nigeria could use him, if he decides to wear our kit.
But his pace issues is a major weakness. And he gets left at sea quite often when he comes face to face with fast, strong, intelligent forwards. When he gets turned, his recovery is often poor.
But he also has strengths. These strengths make him still quite useful. Our coach just has to know how best to use him.
In my opinion, to play Tosin alongside another slow center back is to invite disaster. Ideal partners for Tosin are quick energetic center backs like Calvin Bassey or Gabriel Osho. So Tosin will be the brains in the defense, and the other will be the brawn. An alternative good scenario for Tosin is when he’s deployed in a 3-man center back formation. He can be quite solid when he has decent support around him.
Plus Jordan Torunarigha.
Good observation @Pompei, Tosin played against Man City last season and performed well so one bad game isn’t enough to Judge him.
Leon Balogun is slow but still one of the best Naija defenders even in his 30s.
Those are the kind of names I want to be seeing in the list and not Tanimu. Im not sure Tanimu can mark Nketia we’ll talk less of Haaland
TOSIN Adarabioyo was a massive player for Fulham last season with his imposing figure, forging a strong bond with his centre pair, Calvin Bassey, snuffing out threats from the oppositions.
A below par performance in a pre-season friendly game against Manchester City would not be enough to undermine his qualities. The former Man City academy player has evolved over the years which prompted his transfer to EPL giants, Chelsea.
We can only wish the best in new season.
He’s sure a vast experienced centre half.
As for playing for the Super Eagles, his name easily came to mind following Mikel Obi’s podcast recently. He’s been approached on different occasions to represent the Super Eagles but has shown his preference for 3 Lions of England, unfortunately he’s been snubbed.
On some instances he would be seen spotting the Super Eagles outfits, fuelling speculations in the media and among fans of his interest in representing Nigeria but that has left Nigeria guessing.
Well from all indications the center back Tosin Adarabioyo wants to play for England.Uf he wants to play for Nigeria there shouldn’t be any more needed to be done.Unless the NFF are covering some thing to make themselves appear good. This things are deeper than we think.I do wish he agrees to play for Nigeria. It would be good for Nigeria and especially for Adarabioyo.
