Dennis Praet has refused to guarantee he will still be a Sampdoria player next season amid reported interest from AC Milan. The Belgium international has been a star performer for Samp since moving to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris from Anderlecht in 2016 and it appears his performances have not gone unnoticed.

Indeed, recent reports in Italy have suggested that Milan hold an interest in Praet and the 25-year-old could move to the San Siro this summer. That transfer could become more likely if the Rossoneri appoint Samp boss Marco Giampaolo as their new head coach – the 51-year-old is believed to be high on Milan’s wishlist to succeed Gennaro Gattuso.
Praet has now spoken about the speculation surrounding his future and although he is no rush to leave Sampdoria, he has offered no guarantees he will still be with the club come the start of next season. “I’ve read the news, but they’re still just rumours,” Praet told Het Laatste Nieuws.”I’ve always said that my dream is to take a step forward. If it was a good solution for Sampdoria, I’d like to go to a big club in one of the four top European Leagues.”
