Castleford Tigers boss Daryl Powell has insisted his side are united and ready for kick off despite reports of a fall out. It was widely reported on Thursday that the Tigers pre-season camp in Lanzarote had descended into farce after a fall out amongst the players, but Powell claims his team are together and untied whilst refusing to comment on the reports.

Powell said: “There’s no comment from me. “I was really pleased when I watched the team play on Sunday against Leeds. We looked like a team that’s together and united.”
Castleford start their Betfred Super League campaign with a home clash against Catalans Dragons next Friday night.
When asked if the Tigers are where he would like them to be with a week of pre-season remaining, Powell said: “I think so.”
