Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino expects a stern test against Cardiff but has called for a reaction after the defeat to Wolves. Tottenham went down 3-1 at home to Wolves last time out despite taking the lead, and Pochettino has urged them to get back to winning ways against the Bluebirds on New Year’s Day. “It’s going to be tough, Cardiff are a tough team to play against,” he told reporters. “We need to move on [after the Wolves defeat] and try to be ready to compete because we’re going to need big energy to play.
We need to be prepared for a big battle and we’re looking forward to it.”
