Former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Melvin Pinnick has confessed he is an advocate of foreign coaches for the Super Eagles.
Pinnick said his
reason for being averse to indigenous coaches stemmed from lack of respect for them by the players.
Franco-German Gernot Rohr was in charge of the Super Eagles for majority of the FIFA council member reign as NFF boss.

Randy Waldrum was also appointed Super Falcons head coach during his reign.
“Yes, the Nigerian coaches have the requisite knowledge and the technical ability, but modern football is beyond that in managing players,”he told Arise TV.
“Will the national team players respect the coach? The sad thing is that they don’t.*
The NFF is still searching for an expatriate to tinker the Super Eagles.

Amaju if you are reading this shut the fk up. You’ve done enough harm already by forcing Finidi on us. I remember your words that he is Ajax ex player and all sort that he knows all the ABC BLA BLA BLA just to take out Amuneke. Now he has failed and you have the guts to come out and say another thing again to confuse us. The aboki you put in power and fine tuning to your corruption will surely expire one day so just sit tight and keep looking for who to continue sharing salary with after Peseiro and Finidi exits. Change will come to Nigeria soon and you’ll be one of casualties if you don’t back off egg head.
Don’t mind him. He even forced Oliseh on us.
Where did Oliseh lead us than to cause trouble in the camp?
But he also recruited Rohr. I think your anger should be at those who recommended the sacking of Rohr. They should all be sacked. If they are making repeated wrong recommendations , why are they still there.
You cannot be doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
Amaju pinnick!!!This idiot is the worse thing to happen to Nigeria football from time immemorial….no long explanation…
Sadly I have to agree with the majority of sentiments that Amaju Pinnick is wrong. He pushed for Finidi, even after some players had complained about his handling of the two friendly matches. Amunike played at the Nou Camp for Barcelona. He was in the Afcon winning team of 1994 who did well in the WC. Far better qualified than the unrated foreign coaches Amaju is foisting on the country. Nigeria is an independent African nation. If lack of respect is true, incidentally proven, why don’t we ask foreigners to come and take over important aspects of Nigeria?
Nigerians believe it’s to do with remuneration and sharing in the largesse. Amaju Pinnick needs to ensure his reputation is above board. Many remember his treatment of Stephen Keshi, a national hero. If Nigeria doesn’t qualify for second successive WC, Amaju Pinnick has a large part of the blame to carry.
It is just a pity that we have bad people running this country called Nigeria.
You still have mouth to talk Amaju? EFCC haven’t opened your file yet?
I am deeply sorry for Nigeria as a country. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Give us the reason why they will not respect the local coaches? let me help you because a lot of you are God fathers to this players, you make them indispensable, they come with brown envelopes for you all and walk into camp and get to start games. Rubbish
