The Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Melvin Pinnick has denied reports in the media claiming that a travel ban has been imposed on him.
This comes on the heels of a report that President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that Pinnick should be prosecuted.
The CAF Vice President and FIFA executive committee member took to his Twitter handle to clear the air on the report which he terms falsehood.
“Good afternoon Nigeria. My attention has just been drawn to a publication by an online media organisation about a travel ban placed on me and an intending prosecution,” Pinnick wrote in a thread on Twitter.
“Ironically, it comes on the heels of my trip to Accra, Ghana yesterday for a meeting between the Nigeria Football Federation and CAF partners, AITEO.”
“I also have official engagements coming up in Senegal. In other words; no such ban is in place and no security agency has gotten in touch.
“The @thenff recently published its audited accounts in ThisDay Newspapers & Daily Trust on Thursday the 20th of December, 2018 and on Tuesday the 25th of December, 2018 in The Vanguard Newspapers.
In effect, our finances are open for anyone to see. All incomes from the Federal Government, FIFA & CAF, since 2014 are reflected. Before my appointment into the FIFA committees, I had to pass through
intense integrity and eligibility tests.
“I was not found wanting. Two years ago, FIFA handed the NFF a clean bill of health in our financial management. Our accounts are audited by PwC, the same firm that audits FIFA.
“So it is quite laughable whenever these stories come out. And they come out, without fail, regularly, and from the same sources.
“Well, I’ll be talking to my lawyers to see what legal redress I can get, but it would be nice if our media houses investigated these things before publishing.
“I might not know every journalist in Nigeria, but I do know a few in just about every media house in the country. When these unfounded stories hit, it’s our football that suffers.”
Sponsors and perspective sponsors become wary of and about doing business with us. Surely we can be responsible about our reports?
“I’m hoping the more responsible media outlets will disregard these reports while assuring our partners and prospective partners that we are serious about taking our football upwards. Thank you very much and a very Happy New Year to you, Nigerians.”

Enemy of progress. You the man.
ENEMY WITHIN.
What is a match rusty Moses coming to do in the SE when we have Chukwueze?
that is the problem with the Black race…SENTIMENTS.
If Mbape was a nigerian, I bet you , he would not have gone to the world cup in Russia.
It still hurts to remember that Keshi dropped Ike Uche, Sunday Mbah and even Iheanacho for the 2014 world cup for Aziz, Uchebo and Sola Amoebi. only in the zoo. Nobody could stop him, nobody cared enough to tell him that the SE is not his personal business.
MEDIOCRITY OVER MERIT, THAT IS WHY THE BLACK RACE WILL NEVER ATTAIN THEIR GOD GIVEN POTENTIAL IN ANYTHING THEY DO.
What has your opinion got to do with rusty Victor Moses, they are talking about pinick being summoned you talking about Kelechi and co, was kelechi even ripe when Nigeria went to the 2014 mundial? If Keshi wasn’t late Michael Babalola maybe will be playing in one of the top leagues in Europe today, and if Keshi wasn’t late Uchebo and co would have been flying high. We not even talking about this, the talk is about Pininck. End off.You CJ.
Don’t mind that goat… They would not read the article yet they would rush to comment.
CJ don high lol he’s choking from Christmas meat!
Thank you Mr. President. See, some times, you just have to do your part and see how it’s goes. It’s left to Moses to prove himself if he’s humble or arrogance.
If head is affected, everything concerning the body would not functioning well. This goes to coach Rohr.
Coach Rohr uses Victor Moses to his preferred position against Iceland and he got the result he wanted while Moses doesn’t feels comfortable with it and the coach even begged Moses and Mikel against Argentina to played in the same position which Moses in the end letting Argentina’s player scored in the last minutes of the match.
In this situation, Mr. President should pleased talk to the coach first before proceeding talking to Victor Moses.
There’s an issue between the coach, Mikel and Moses. This is the secret some of my colleagues doesn’t wanted me to digged out since last year on this platform. Most especially, coach Rohr’s disciples on this forum.
But if we all wants the best for the country, coach Rohr should stand on his toes if he really wanted to achieved anything meaningful in this year Afcon.
Truth is bigger to swallow for me rather than lying to Nigerians. Yeah, we have to act very fast on this issue because we can’t afford repeating what happened in Russia in Africa this year.
We should put our hearts together. This is 2019, no time to check time my people if we really wanted to rule the Africa again. I’m expecting Mr. Pinnick to work with coach Rohr. God bless Nigeria!!
Why must you always twist everything to make Roth look bad. I don’t understand your obsession with the gaffer. You always try to portray him in a bad light.
You dey mind him
That story was planted by Dalung in a phone interview with Raji Babatunde on Brila FM.
It is nothing but mischief
Babafemi not Babatunde
I might not be UR normal commentator on issues lik this but pls lend me UR attention and read btw the lines wat am ABT to say. Chealsel coach and others football coaches must have gotten more clearer info after the WC about victor M lethargic attitude wen the nation needed him most. Do u know in 2014 wc this same player was partly one of the reason the country did not do well just bcos he feels he shld be rank above Emenike in the order of impt in the team.remember the were not passing to themselves and Victor was fingered to be the problem by most of the players.Come 2018 he still repeated the same egocentric tendency by trying to dictate where and how he shld play and looking down on his captain Mikel ,all at the end to the detriment of team.I want to beleive that victor improper attitude of keeping malice and dueling over trivial issues to the the extent of intentionally destroying the ambition of your country (PLS take a Luk of Nig vs ARG last goal again ) as been passed to coaches in Europe meaning Victor might not possibly have a major brktru again in main stream European league again.. Something tells me this young man as a scores to settle with nigeria as a nation which he as finally done by the virtue of what he did against his team at the 2018 WC and happily he retires.pls pinnick leave mr victor alone I personally don’t want another heartbreak toward NIG from him again. One day he will put up a documentary to state why his behavior does not tally with his name when it comes to player country relationship.on pinnick corruption charges.may I state here that dalung is a spoiler wen it comes to NFF issues since dallung failed to thrust his blood brother Giwa to mount the rostrum of leadership of NFF. Watching the interview of dallung on channels few days ago ,have come to the conclusion that dallung will stop at nothing to rubbish pinnick leadership.so pinnick my advice is continue to be five steps ahead of dallung on any issue or else dallung will finish U .if is possible find a way a break into Osibajo the nation VP so that u not need to go thru dallung for the approval for funds .. If pinnick can do this then u make dallung toothless finally. As for me pinnick ,like the American will say;; U’ANT DOING BAD AT ALL.
Amaju Pinnick Denies Travel Ban, Prosecution Reports –
I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s equally educative and interesting, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head.
The issue is something that not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy that I found this during my hunt for something concerning this.
