The Super Eagles rounded off their training routine ahead of the first of their two-legged 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Sierra Leone on a very inspirational note on Thursday evening inside the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City, with both the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare and the NFF president , Amaju Pinnick, joining the players on the field of play.
Complete Sports’ ace photographer, GANIYU YUSUF, covered the warmup session before their full session which held behind closed-door and here presents some of the shots for the viewing pleasure of our readers ahead of the Friday’s clash with the Leone Stars.

Guys mek una no vex ooo but Musa and Dare, which person belle big pass? I think they are the same ooo lol. Even GR hinted that Musa isn’t in tip top shape. Wishing the team success in the game tomorrow
Watch as Musa go shut me up with a brace tomorrow lol. I pray he does ooo, i will be pleasantly surprised.
I think the 1st leg will be won by Sierra lone by a goal. Bit the second leg will be won by eagles by 6 goals. U know now. No vex . Eagles will win world cup in 2022.
Thought they said Ezenwa has left camp. abi he is assistant goalkeeper coach. Want to believe someone is pressing some buttons for him to be part of the team.
Really nice photos. Kinda give a sense of the mood in d SE camp. God bless NIGERIA, God bless SE, God bless Gernot Rohr and crew.
Pls what is the meaning of all these nonsense distractions…? 1st it was Deputy gov training with the SE…then governor visiting them while training (when a visit to their hotel would have been better), now its NFF president and Sports minister training with the SE. Are these administrators this jobless…? Make them kuku pack the whole NFF secretariat and Edo house of assembly come train with SE too na. We have crucial double header qualifiers ahead, with just 2 days available for training and the team is being exhibited for political purposes instead of being allowed to concentrate on the tasks ahead…..this is the height of unprofessionalism
A total nuisance!
I hope the administrators will be available for selection on match day. If not, what purpose does this serve exactly?
Rohr and the players are AT WORK! And they have very limited time to prepare!
It’s either the administrators have taken micro-management to another level, or they have their priorities horribly skewed.
If you want to boost the morale of the team, does visiting them at the hotel not suffice? If your loved one is having a surgery, will you put on a surgical gown and enter the operating theater to cheer the doctors?
After this, I suggest that Rohr and the players should also routinely be allowed to join administrators in the board room and participate in policy and decision making.
Please get the circus out of there, and allow these guys to do their job!
This is a huge distraction, which the players do not need. It goes down to PERSONAL EGO, which turns round to be very destructive. Since our soccer field has suddenly been infested with political gladiators, let’s cite a political reason: ask ego-driven TRUMP.
The honourable minister and Pinnick should be held responsible if the SEs lose this match. We cannot wait to see a training session converted to a children’s fun park activity.
A big shame.
Nawao….
Wetin Adamu no go see for gate….
Imagine GARETH SOUTHGATE training the 3lions of England for a crucial double header, and boom the English FA chairman and the sport minister just jump to the pitch and start running, jumping, even marking the players….
But but but…. Who “CURSED” nigeria?
The thing don tire person…..
Are they for REAL?
OGA ROHR OPEN YOUR EYES WELLER….
SOME THING FISHY IS SMELLING….
This is the highest level of stupidity if you asked me! Which kind of nonsense is this na? And we will continue to blame the likes of ebere eze for not playing for Nigeria, when things are awkwardly done in this part of the world like this?
We should know those guys in diaspora knows what is happening here because they have friends and relatives around. If super eagles didn’t win today we should know who and who to hold responsible!
Nonsense pinnick!
Nonsesne dare!!
Nonsense pitch!
We don’t need our administrators to dazzle on the SE training pitch. What we need is for our administrators to dazzle in the boardroom. Come up with policies and procedures that advance football in particular and sports in general. Improve the environment, so that frustrated athletes stop jumping ship to represent other countries. Athlete’s welfare, infrastructure development and maintenance, proactive thinking! That’s what we need!
Its even so laughable that SE bonuses (and possibly the salaries of the coaches) have not been paid since last AFCON, yet the shameless officials carry dem big belle dey go train with the team like say na them wan play the match.
This remark is spot on! Thanks Pompei.
Honestly Deo, I’m just tired. Don’t mean to come across as disrespectful, but this is just mind boggling! No wonder the salaries and bonuses go unpaid for so long. They obviously don’t consider what Rohr and the players are doing to be serious work. If they did, will they be in there wasting valuable time, distracting the coaching crew and the players?
I mean, if you want to really encourage the coaches and the players, pay all their salaries, bonuses and other entitlements in a timely manner! That is a great way to boost team morale. If you do this, you don’t even need to be anywhere near the team. They will be highly encouraged, motivated, and ready for battle. And they will love you for it! Anyway, let’s hope the team performs well today in spite of all these nonsensical distractions. And let’s also hope the pitch is match ready, and the match is properly televised. If the team messes up, we all know who to hold responsible!
If the opponents today were Ghana, Cote D’ivoire, Cameroun or even South Africa, will the deputy governor, Pinnick and Dare be ‘dazzling’ on the training pitch? Is it because it’s ‘ordinary’ Sierra Leone? They should remember SE had to come from behind to beat Benin 2-1 in the last home game.
Rohr has been complaining that his team don’t have enough time to prepare for this match and you all are coming with your big bellies to show off? Unto what nah!!?? Who are you trying to impress? Forget the plastic smiles and shallow laughters of the players and coaches, inside of them, they’re steaming with anger and wish you guys would stop distracting them. The only thing they want from you is their due bonus. Full stop.
Oga Kel, I couldn’t help but chuckle with your comments above. Perhaps this is ‘morale support’ from our officials. 🙂
Hehehe @Oga Deo, no be small thing. Pinnick is seriously developing ear problem and becoming a dictator. Howdy? Quite a while.
We dey o! Just hoping for a flamboyant display today. I trust you are good.
Mad people every where ndi ara ndi ara
Na so we wan take move forward for this country ni? Make person no vex MAJOR FLEX o, tomorrow, make them just kukuma start pinnick as right back, this is an efffd up country, we can’t promote this vile act, this is an offence on football professionalism
Rubbish! Why them no go dazzle with maroko fc. Idiot people without sense of responsibility.
And CSN is not even doing them any favour with their headline….
“SPORT MINISTER DARE, PINNICK DAZZLE AS…”,,,,
Is this the right place for them to “DAZZLE”???
If anyone of you was in that training pitch with Dare and Pinnick you will have a different perspective. Una too dey boil, a reasonable person will see this motive as relaxing and calming instead of this distraction calls from your corners.
On another note, Amoo scored 2 yesterday
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhZ-SJ2uW7E
An unreasonable person will not see owing players and officials their match bonuses since last afcon but going to disrupt their training as highly disturbing for the players and a complete show of disrespect, dishonesty and disregard for the huge task at hand which is the double header qualifying match. The sports minister and Pinnick should also go and train with the national U20s and U17s to “relax and calm” them too….if relaxing and calming our national teams is part of their job description.
Abeg where were these 2 raster dazzlers who dazzled in eagles training today na…??? LMAO
Abeg make dem nor forget them for house when we dey go freetwn o
