Nigeria forward Peter Olayinka has undergone successful surgery on his achilles tendon, reports Completesports.com.
Olayinka copped the injury during Red Star Belgrade’s UEFA Champions League clash with AS Monaco last week.
Red Star Belgrade lost the matchday three encounter 5-1.

“Peter Olayinka was successfully operated on in Finland by a famous doctor, after an Achilles tendon injury due to a blow he received during a match in Monaco,” the club said in a statement.
“Everything went well and we are waiting for the post-operative period to pass in order to estimate the return time of Zvezda’s football player. We wish him a speedy recovery and return to the field!”
The forward is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
He has registered two goals and two assists in six league appearances for Red Star Belgrade this season.
