Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has congratulated Rivers United following their CAF Confederation Cup 2-0 win over Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Sunday night.
Rivers United missed two penalties in the game.
Alex Oyowah scored the first goal of the game in the 89th minute and he converted a penalty one minute later to make it 2-0.
The first leg of the tie finished 0-0 two weeks ago at the Stade Muncipal Yamoussoukro.

Rivers United have now qualified for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup 2-0 on aggregate.
Peseiro took to his personal X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to hail the Pride of Rivers following their achievement.
“Congratulations to Rivers United on making it to the CAF Confederation Cup group stage. Best of luck in the competition!,” he wrote.
Rivers United reached the quarter-final stage of the CAF Confederation Cup last season.
