La Liga outfit Alaves have completed the signing of West Ham forward Lucas Perez for an undisclosed fee. The 30-year-old Spaniard moved to the London Stadium last summer from rivals Arsenal for a fee of around £4million after he failed to settle at the Emirates Stadium and spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan with Deportivo La Coruna in his homeland.

Perez again struggled to find his feet in the Premier League with the Hammers, scoring six goals in 19 appearances and making just four starts in the top flight. And, following recent speculation, Perez has now completed his permanent switch to Alaves where he will continue his career next season. The deal could also boost Hammers’ boss Manuel Pellegrini in his quest to sign fellow compatriot, Chile international defender Guillermo Maripan, from the Spanish side in this transfer window.
