Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly looking to be reunited with goalkeeper Willy Caballero at West Ham as cover for Lukasz Fabianski. The Hammers’ boss is looking for a new face in the keeper department with Adrian set to depart the London Stadium when his contract expires at the end of next month.

And, a move for 37-year-old Caballero is being mooted as he is also approaching the end of his contract with London rivals Chelsea, where he has spent the last two years. Caballero played under Pellegrini at Manchester City in the past and it seems the Chilean tactician is keen to take him to the Hammers on a free transfer to work alongside Fabianski ahead of next season.
The Argentinian is again set to play second fiddle to a first-choice keeper if he does join West Ham, but he has been used to that scenario over the years as Joe Hart was also ahead of him at City. Caballero made nine appearances for Chelsea this past season with Kepa Arrizabalaga the number one at Stamford Bridge, but Pellegrini will no doubt see him as an ideal custodian to provide back-up.
