Villarreal defender Pau Torres has distance himself from reports that he plans to leave the club for Man United.
Cadena Ser says the Spanish international’s representatives are ready to sign off a deal, after an agreement had been reached with the player and both clubs.
He told AS: “Right now there is nothing at all, there is talk of many things like every year, I have peace of mind of being where they want me, at the club of my life and I have this offer right now that I value as very positive.

“There is nothing right now, the only thing I have is the offer from Villarreal, so I am very calm.”
He has drawn the interest of Europe’s top clubs after several impressive displays at El Submarino Amarillo, but that interest is believed to have intensified after Villarreal’s stunning road to the Champions League semifinals.
Pau’s International Career
Torres got his first call up for the Spain national team by Robert Moreno on 4 October 2019, for UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers against Norway and Sweden. He did not debut until 15 November when he scored in a 7–0 rout of Malta for the already qualified hosts, within a minute of replacing Sergio Ramos; Dani Olmo also scored on his first cap in that game, the first time that two Spaniards did so in exactly 30 years.
Torres was included in Luis Enrique‘s 24-man squad for the finals. He was also selected for the Olympic team that won a silver medal at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.[18]
