Michael Olise scored a stunning goal as France defeated USA 3-0 in Group A in the men’s football event of the Paris Olympic games on Wednesday.
The French, coached by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, had to wait till the second half to find a breakthrough against a resolute American side.
Lacazette gave France the lead in the 60th minute as he received the ball close to the US box and hit a low shot which ended at the back of the net.
Olise made it 2-0 in the 68th minute as he collected the ball just outside the box, turned and then picked his spot with a curling left-foot shot.
With five minutes left to play, Loic Bade added the third goal after nodding home from a corner.
Olise will feature for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich after sealing a move from Crystal Palace this summer.
The other game in Group A saw New Zealand defeat Guinea 2-1 also on Wednesday.

No Nigeria, no South Africa, no Ghana, no Senegal, no Algeria,, no,, what’s playing then?
Nigeria messed up by appointing Salisu Yusuf to coach the U23. It was a poor appointment.
All this talk is cheap if we do nothing about it and just compalin. Nigerians have to ban together and force these NFF people out of Office. Hard but not impossible.
