Lacazette would hope to lead France to a first Olympic football gold since Los Angeles 1984.
At the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, France had a disappointing campaign as they crashed out in the group stage.
Meanwhile, Brazil who won the football gold medals at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 did not qualify for the Paris Olympics.
