Former Nigerian international Alloy Agu says he’s optimistic the Super Falcons will bounce back to winning ways against Spain in their second group game at the Paris Olympic Women’s Football Event.
He made this known despite Nigeria’s narrow 1-0 loss to Brazil in their opening game on Thursday.
Recall that the only goal of the game was scored in the first half through Gabi Nunes.

Reacting after the game, Agu, in a chat with Completesports.com, stated that the Super Falcons will learn from their mistakes and bounce back against Spain.
“The Super Falcons were impressive against Brazil despite losing 1-0. In football, it’s either you win or lose. And it’s so unfortunate that the team narrowly lost to Brazil.
“With that result, we have to go back to the drawing board for them to see what they need to do well in the next game against Spain.
“Honestly, the Super Falcons is a team you can’t underrate no matter the team they play. Yes, they have lost the first game, and the next point of call will be how the team can bounce back against Spain.
“Spain have to prepare well because the Super Falcons will give them a run for their money. I am confident the team will get a positive result against Spain.”

The same Spain I watched .. Spain that can move the ball from one side of the field to the other and even enter box 18 with ease .
Abeg .nff done finish Nigerian football. As things are any team nff pushing forward to represent the country must be in camp for 3 weeks.
They better wake up .. to go check how it was done before.
If Czech can defeat Spain what stops us from doing same although you’re right but I just dey pull your legs. Meanwhile Awaziem just made a brilliant move to the states by moving league favourites Cincinnati Fc. I hope he can help them fix their injury defensive crisis.
shinma p daniels sharap yuh shit lolz, close youre stoopid mouth lolz
In football anything can happen. At the same time the girls really tried. Even if they dropped at group stage we should still be proud of them. Merely looking at FIFA ranking the three teams in the group are in 1st, 7th& 9th position while Nigeria is in 36th position.
In this Olympic the football loving Nigerians need to encourage and appreciate the team we have for growth and preparation for future competition.
Well done girls.
Kudos to the ladies for such brilliant displays against highly rated Brazilian side.
The Nigeria girls are always a delight to watch anything. Failure to take their chances in the early exchanges proved costly at the end of the day.
Brilliant performances from the likes of Rashidat Ajibade and Deborah.
Hopefully Randy continues after the Olympics and even if they will discard of his services they should bring a very competent coach for the girls. Not an E+ rated coach
