Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade says the team is battle ready for their Group C clash with Spain.
Randy Waldrum’s side started their campaign at the 2024 Olympic Games on a losing note, going down 1-0 to Brazil.
The nine-time African champions will be up against the world champions at the Stade de la Beaujoire, Nantes on Sunday.

Ajibade said the Super Falcons will give their best to get a win in the game.
“We missed quite a few chances against Brazil, and they took their chance. We will do our best to take our chances against Spain on Sunday,”thenff.com.
It will be the first-ever meeting between Spain and Nigeria.
With no injuries in camp, coach Randy Waldrum may stick to the team that started against Brazil on Thursday, though Michelle Alozie may start from the left back to allow Nicole Payne, who showed great spirit when she came into the game against the South Americans, to operate from the right side of defence.

Though she looks like the youngest in the team, I think Nicole Payne did very well when she came on for the surprisingly ineffective and sluggish Chidinma Okeke. And Michelle Alozie switched seamlessly well to the LWB.
I think I like the power and speed of Chiwendu upfront but she needs to be going for placement when shooting at goal. Oshoala needs to play a part and put her experience to use.
I’m optimistic we’ll grind a result against Spain and we’ll beat Japan. This I have seen in my crystal ball.
