Tobi Sijuade missed out on a place in the men’s 50 metres freestyle semi-finals at the ongoing Paris Olympics.
In Thursday’s heat 5, Sijuade placed third in a time of 23.34 seconds.
Unfortunately, after the 10 heats were completed, Sijuade did not progress as he was ranked 11th with only the fastest 16 overall from the heats that went through.
In other event, after their iconic triumph over Australia, D’Tigress faced a tough challenge against the host team, France, ultimately falling 75-54 in their second game at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The women’s AfroBasket champions will face Canada on Sunday, aiming to bounce back with a win as they sit second in their group ahead of Australia and Canada.
