Is not going to be easy for the falcons in this Olympics, we better sharpen our attack and lock our leaking defense
@Bright, defense has been the strength of the team under Waldrum. Scoring goals is the challenge.

They were not really playing to win at all cost going by what the coach had said, they were playing to try combinations since two major players were out of the competition. Win or lose, you don’t expect them to fight like Amazons they are in a friendly. For me its a good sign.
Waldrum is cooking something for sure, only time shall reveal the menu.
You are so right @9jaRealist,
I think it’s a decent result.
Canada is a very strong side in women’s football.
Besides, the ladies have just started preparations. This is the time to experiment and see what works and what doesn’t work.
When the real competition begins, the team will be ready to rumble.
must we be the one on the losing side while experimenting? Does the experiment mean we should not come out with victory? The 1st match will also be a bit of experiment since the last competitive match (friendly or not) showed the experiment used did not work.
We must have won, simple. It is not good to think small. How come Canada won.

For those who always want instant results, they need to be realistic. Canada played a friendly against Australia on July 13 and won. This is the first and only friendly the Falcons are playing. In terms of preparations Canada is ahead of us. If we channel the same energy we expend on demanding results from our teams towards demanding accountability from our directionless leaders things will work out better for us as a nation.
They are still basking in the euphoria of playing in the Olympic for the first time in their careers
I believe they will come good in the tournament proper let’s just give them all the support they need cuz I believe this team is gonna go against all odds to make us proud..
@dabo, it is canada”s 5th match in five weeks. We just regrouped after April wualifiers. The girl will tick in the tournament. Waldrum is cooking out something. Let wait and see. I believe the girls. Remember same canada her olympic defending champions.
Don’t make excuses for failing. Be guided.
The girls have done well and I see them going far in the tournament. All they need now is our prayer and support.
No one wrote that Falcons beat Canada when they tested themselves with spot kicks after normal time with all falcons players scoring their 5 and Canada missing one. 5-4 it ended after penalties.
For me, the falcons are the least pressured national team to perform because they have already made us to dare to dream. See the opponents they would confront. Brazil, World champions Spain and dazzling Japan that humiliated Spain at the last world cup.
Unlike lethargic Eagles, win or lose, Falcons are the innit national team for me
