Super Falcons goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi has said the team must go all out for a win against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
Nigeria will confront Banyana Banyana in the first leg of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifier at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Friday (today).
Oluehi stated that it is important for the Super Falcons to be aggressive in their approach.
“We just have to be aggressive,” she said. “Take the bull by the horns, from the start to the finish. We have to be at our best. Everyone must fight for each other, everyone must help each other,” Oluehi told ESPN.com.

“We can’t relax and let them play. I remember at WAFCON in Morocco, what cost us against them was because we allowed them to play their game.
“It was in the second half that we stepped up our game but by then it was too late for us to come back. We can’t let that happen again, so we have to take the fight to them.
“From the start to the end, we will hunt them so that they can feel our own heat and know that we really need this qualification.”
South Africa have dominated recent head to head meetings between the two countries, winning three out of four.

God bless you.
That’s the approach.
It is now I truly felt happy to be a Nigerian. This is exactly what I have being saying for long. We have the talent, no doubt. But we often take others as friends and brothers in each game, whereas they take us as sworn enemies. Even at the recent Afcon, had we played aggressively, with our quality upfront, we would have won Ivory Coast 2 or 3 nil. The same it is here. South Africans don’t love us in any way at all. They see us as enemies in everything. They are aggressive towards us, and so must we also be towards them, and by that they will surely crumble before us
That’s the way to go, Tochukwu
Easier said than done. The Falcons disrespected SA by not camping prior to the match. Bayana Bayana will trash Falcons 3-0 today.
Oh ok, we don hear you. We will have this conversation after 90mins
Could someone please help with a link
Nigeria is 1 – 0 up. Penalty by Ajibade.
Honestly, why is the NFF taking all of Nigeria for a ride with regard to match streaming? Pinnick was bad, but the guy’s a saint compared to this set of jokers.
When SE or SF has a home game, everyone prepares, including fans, except the NFF. They practically do nothing. Now this international disgrace of the highest order.
Are u suprise?
I’ve switched to Zambia vs Morrocco. I cant let the animals running our football blind my eyes with horrible broadcasts
Clean and smooth broadcast from Lusaka, fully packed stadium.
That is how you know FAs run by human beings.
If it is to call people “blabbermouth” now, the incompetent flapper-liped fool that calls himself the NFF media officer can win Nobel prize for that.
Bro, you needed to see how the south Africans are running us down in the comment section of that page, mocking us for claiming to be giants of Africa
It’s so terrible. Will Nigeria ever work? Simple streaming fa? It is well o. These are the things the FG should probe. It’s rubbimg off do badly on our image.
The federal government too needs probing haha
Liar, dem don say you get ugly face, better look for dog urine and use for your depleting eye sight before you come here and type jagons
Hahahaha….arindin…LMAOoo
I’ll gladly rather have an ugly face and bad eyesight than be an imbecile like you.
At least dog urine can cure my bad eyesight. Nothing seems to be able to cure the stupidity your father passed down to you…LMAOoo
Even the people who gave birth to you are regretting they did….LMAOoo
See everybody here making sensible comments, dindinrin eranko comes in and makes usual stupid comments that make no sense as usual…..LMAOoo.
You will tell us if is the comments about the bad SF vs SA broadcast that is jargon or the fact that Zambia/Morrocco is a far better broadcast, or the sewage you are vomiting that is jargons….LMAOoo….cos it seems you would need that dog urine to wash your senses….LMAOoo
Aja lasan lasan.
Shut-up your filthy mouth, and go have your depleted self checked up. We all know you sick and thats why you laugh at your comments
Hahahaha, look at this pig….LMAOo. I can see that my laughing pains you so much. Im not the one who told your fool of a father to give birth to a child of sorrow, omo arisokun like you…LMAOo
Between you and I who looks and sounds sick here you idiot.
Go and read through and the comments on this thread and ask yourself who else is acting like an animal like you are acting now….LMAOo
Ode okponu ekeji aja.
Everybody here is making sensible comments about the game and the poor telecast, dindinrin eranko n bu igi je ni tie and making senseless comments as always
You obviously need that dog urine to wash your senses…LMAOoo..or you can better still use your mothers menses.
Okponu ashiere oshi
No pim from them about anything. Match streaming, coach’s appointment, nothing. They’re taking this FIFA protection of the local FA to the extreme. They’re not accountable to nobody and they don’t give a hoot about fans’ complaints.
Please how much does it take to broadcast from an OB Van and stream through their moribund NFF TV channel on YouTube? Do they have an equipped broadcast unit? The set of modern hi-def or 4K camera plus van can’t be more than N50m – even if padded as per Nigerian public official’s normal parole.
Up till today, they’re yet to tell fans how they’re utilizing the $4m Afcon silver winning money. FG can’t do nothing. EFCC is powerless. Cos of FIFA.
Hahaha, money no dey to properly stream match.
FIFA need to make an exception regarding Nigeria. They already did that by paying the SF players directly at the last world cup.
The incompetence and blatant corruption will continue unabated if the status quo remains the same.
Tbh, Fatma Samoura needs to continue to pay special attention to the NFF and monitor the den for feedback to Infantino. Would be great if she reads CSN since she’s African and closer to home.
Congrats SF. But the battle is only half over. Defending a goal lead in front of the partisan SA crown next Tuesday is not going to be easy.
If we can defend like we did at the world cup, and take the chances that come our way, we should be good.
Finishing finishing finishing…that is the bane of our football right now. Super Eagles can’t finish, super falcons, the same. Minimal finishing skills and the falcons are up 4 to 5 goals in this match. Its why we couldnt beat England in the world cup and if care is not taken, South Africa will make us pay for our profilicay in front of goal
Well said bro. And for tgsy reason, we may not go far. If the Soth Africans were the ones with those chances, they would pomped like 4 goals into our net. O can’t believe Profesional players are missing those begging chances. See Ihezuo and Kanu
Can’t believe the sitter Ihezuo wasted. One-on-one with the GK after being fed by Ajibade, she neither hit the ball with power nor placed it, either of which would have seen the ball at the back of the net.
I just hope these missed chances don’t come back to bite us. Good thing is that I don’t see this SA team winning away either. The Nigerian girls are just determined, ven though there’s no NFF.
We should start looking for seasoned goal scorers like Mercy Akide, strikers with high conversion rate. I don’t care if they come from the local league or abroad. After all, there is a thin line between our foreign and local based players in female football. I’m not sure this coach is even paying attention to this problem.
It’s the major reason we lost to England at the WC. They were not better in anyway. But scoring goals is a big technical problem in Nigeria right now. How on earth did Kanu and Ihezuo missed those chances, I wanna. Which adrenalin dey run through them at that point? Or do they need a special coach to teach them how to score goal ni? Professional players far. Against Cameroon, it was the same thing. At the WAFCON, At the FIFA WC, the same. Even if we managed to qualify, the same will happen. What’s Waldrum doing about this? The technical team of Eguaveon, are they all blind ni? Or na so we go dey dey? See begging chances. All SA need to do is to score in their country, then we will surely be on the back foot. And if that goal came early, we won’t escape defeat. And this is a match we could have buried in Abuja. This isn’t cool at all.
Ah…Marvelous Mercy. I doubt we will be able to have bloodthirsty CFs like her again (and Perpetua too). These ones spend more time dancing in YouTube videos than they spend in the gym perfecting their art.
Gift Monday left the local league as unarguably the best talent from the local league and ever since she got to Spain, both her club and national team form has not been as impressive.
It takes a lot of personal dedication to self-development to attain such types of status as Mercy Akide attained….I mean the only African female footballer to have made FIFA XI and on multiple occasions too (I stand to be corrected tho). I don’t think even Asisat has ever played in a FIFA-selected XI side.
At a time when Mercy was playing for the Hampton Road Pinranas, she was rubbing shoulders with Mia Ham In the women’s soccer league.
Those ones truly lived for the game…!!!
Yeye dey smell, una sha don write off the team befoe, lets wait and see who will laugh last
I saw 30 minutes of this encounter,I must confess super falcons were by miles the better side, but can do better with finishing.
From all indication we’re primed to go to Paris.
Though I had my fears earlier on but I have always had confidence especially the new players, the likes of Abiodun and Echegini,Kanu is amazing.
The battle is not over,I believe our better performance will be away from home, with better pitch and conditions in South Africa, we shall get the result we need to proceed, may God help us.
O’boys and girls – this Nigeria thing tire person O!
Kai – what a total disgrace, we have NFF like person wey no get Football Federation, a bunch of potbellied PIGS! And then the girls decided to waste about 7-8 clear chances??
Nna, na wa for real, we suppose win this game like 5-nil at the very least but weting happen? I would have tried to blame the manager Waldrum for not coaching finishing skills but we all know that it is not his fault – Profligacy in front of goal seems to be a national trait or is it problem for Nigeria at the moment at all levels of our national football and it has been for quite a few years now Chai!
Anyway, well done Super Falcons!, shame on you NFF – All the best for the second leg in that slave country on Tuesday, let’s hope we can somehow finish the job then and shut these slave wannabes up for good! – to be fair though, it was plain to see that we are by far the superior team- We the FREEMEN! we were much better than them in every department but you would not have thought that before the match with their collective big bogus slave foul breath polluting the air everywhere and saying how they were going to beat us – Mugus! lol
kkkkk I laugh in swahili!
Let’s reconvene on Tuesday and finish these halfbaked porkpies off for good!
we need to sart writing petition to Fifa against NFF and how they have deprive nigerians good telecaste of our home games . is now becoming a big shame that a country that has such a rich football culture cannot stream a national team home game with excellent clear pictures but rather a shambolic picture quality or most times a total black out.enough is enough let us great supporters of football start sending petitions to Fifa to safe us from the hand of this disgraceful football federation founded in nigeria
Bro this is the comment of the day, we need to write a petition to FIFA, we can’t properly televise our home matches, we are always relying on Super sports to come with their HD camera if not we would all be subjected to obsolete video coverage, even NTA of the 80’s and 90’s were doing much better. NFF is just a shame of a football association..
@Ayodele the petition shouldn’t just be for poor telecast but for the overall mismanagement of our football, it’s funds and players and amenities….
Letting them know that if they refused to do anything we’ll be forced to use the instruments of government interference…. and subsequently using this petition as evidence against any fifa ban at the CAS
