Former Super Falcons forward Desire Oparanozie has revealed that the team is not afraid of their group opponents Spain, Japan and Brazil at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Recall that the Nigerian team defeated Banyana Banyana of South Africa 1-0 on aggregate to book a ticket to the showpiece.

Raecting to the team’s group of death, Oparanozie stated that the Super Falcons are capable of qualifying from group C.
“It’s a tough group, Spain are world champions, Japan were previous world champions and Brazil are a household name in the game,” Oparanozie said.
“But I believe in the team, we will do well at the Olympics, the girls will show what they are made up, they will make themselves proud.”
The Super Falcons will face Brazil in their first game at Paris 2024.

It’s only Goals that will take us through this group because the aforementioned teams are teams that can create and convert chances. This will be a group of who scores the most, I trust that we can hold our own defensively but if we don’t start converting goal then I don’t know what to expect. Thank goodness Waldrum just admitted it and the girls are also aware that they have no option than to work on this grey area. Once again congratulations to team Nigeria Paris will be a dream Olympics.

“….Our football is dead, South Africa ladies will fcck the hell out of this Waldrum as they did before when they last met him….”
One day you will learn to understand that your worthless opinions are just that….worthless…!!!
Same worthless opinions that eventually got us disgraced out of the 2022 AFCON and 2022 WC…..LMAOoo.
Go and kick the Super Falcons out of the Olympics if they win 2 games by 1-0 each or if they win 1 by 1-0 and play 2 goalless draws like they did at the World Cup group stage……LMAOoo
“…This will be a group of who scores the most…” What an unintelligent statement….LMAOoo.
Score the most goals and don’t get at least 4 points (or 3 points to be one of the best 3rd placed teams) lets see if you will reach anywhere…LMAOOo
Super Falcons did it in world cup.
They can do it again.
By the way, where is Monkey post and Selfmade?
It’s like Nigeria success has shut their mouth.
Shame on all Nigeria enemies.
God pass them
I really enjoyed post match conference with South Africa coach after yesterday match. The lady was crying inside.
I warned her to behave herself she never listened. She was running mouth like typewriter.
God bless my great country Nigeria.
God bless you girls and all football loving Nigerian.
My brother@Godsate you have started to understand.keep it up. Good luck to our dear sisters @super Falcons
The Nigerian girls are very good. They can hold their own. Goodluck to any team in the Group that underestimate these Nigerians.
The centerback pairing of Ucheibe and Ohale….a masterstroke by Waldrum.
Looks like Ucheibe should stick with the centerback position, as she’s so good at it!
If we defend like we did at the world cup and against SA yesterday, we have a chance against any team. SA is a very good attacking side, but we asphyxiated their game plan. If we can do the same against Spain, Brazil and Japan, we just might get something from those matches.
What will further help our cause is if we improve our finishing. We could have beaten SA in their backyard by several goals yesterday if we converted our chances. In Paris, we will have to do better.
Group of death?
I’d rather call it the GROUP OF LIFE, because I believe that when the dust settles in this group, the SF will be alive and kicking.
When we meet Spain, the youngster Vicky Lopez will likely be thrown into the fray as a starter, or come in as a sub. The talented Lopez has Nigerian roots, but has been already been capped by Spain. Evidently, Lopez is very fond of Nigeria, and many Nigerians also love her and wish her well. But for 90 minutes, that love will have to be set aside.
Hugs and kisses can resume after the match.
