France began the game strongly, leading in the first and second quarters, 23-10 and 22-19, respectively, ending halftime with a double-digit margin of 45-29.

However, they were overpowered in the third and fourth quarters, which ended 16-21 and 21-23, respectively, in favor of Canada. Despite this, France secured the victory through their strong performance in the first half.
