Nigeria’s Quadri Aruna and Egypt’s Omar Assar have been listed among the top 16 seeded table tennis players ahead of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics scheduled to get underway from July 26 to August 10.
According to a press release made available to Completesports.com by the Africa Table Tennis Federation (ATTF), Aruna and Assar were ranked 14th and 16th respectively among the top 16 seeds, positioning them as the highest-ranked players in Africa.

Others include China’s duo of Wang Chuqin and Fan Zhendong who both made the first and second positions respectively while France’s Lebrun Felix and Brazil’s Calderano Hugo were placed in the fourth and fifth positions.
Taiwan’s LIN Yun-Ju, Japan’s Harimoto Tomokazu, Germany’s Qiu Dang, Korea’s Jang Woojin and Germany’s Ovtcharov Dimitrij were ranked sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth positions respectively.
Japan’s Togami Shunsuke, France’s Lebrun Alexis, Portugal’s Freitas Marcos, Slovenia’s Jorgic Darko and Korea’s Cho Daeseong made the tenth, eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth and fifteenth positions respectively.
