Nigeria’s Temitope Adeshina finished 9th in Group B of women’s High Jump event, missing her three attempts at 1.92m.
Adeshina did not progress to the final of the event following her 9th place finish.
The Nigerian opened her competition at 1.83m, which she sailed through easily.
On her next height at 1.88m, she failed on her first attempt but got the job done on her second attempt.
At 1.92m, she missed all her attempts putting her Olympic debut to an end.
Adeshina is the first Nigerian high jumper to qualify for the #Olympics since Doreen Amata in 2016
Despite the setback she has had an incredible season, breaking the Nigerian record (1.97m) and making her first Olympic Games.
