Crystal Palace are set to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on a loan deal until the end of the season. The Eagles have been desperate to bring in reinforcements before the January window closes and the relegation-threatened club are on the verge of completing a last-minute move for the Belgium international.
Batshuayi spent the first half of the season on loan at Valencia but he will now be plying his trade at Selhurst Park for the remainder of the campaign, with the option to make the move permanent in the summer.

With little time left to get the deal over the line, both parties are working frantically to get all the paperwork completed before the 11pm deadline on Thursday night.
Batshuayi would become Palace’s third arrival this month, with goalkeeper Lucas Perri joining on loan while Bakary Sako rejoined his former employers on a free transfer.
