Mezut Ozil wishes he had the chance to help Arsenal overcome their present difficulties.
Ozil was omitted from the club’s Premier League and Europa League squads and has not made a single appearance for the Gunners this season.
Arsenal, who currently 15th position on the table have lost five of their last seven league games.

During a Q&A on Twitter, the former Germany international hinted that he is frustrated not to be in a position to help the team negotiate a difficult period.
“It’s a very difficult time for everyone around the club – not just for me. The situation is frustrating for everyone. Of course I would wish I could help the team especially right now, but as long as I don’t get the chance I just hope that we get better results very soon again,” Ozil tweeted.
Arsenal are next in Premier League action at home to Chelsea on Boxing Day.
