Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen is in line to make his competitive debut for French Ligue 1 club, Lille against Nantes on Sunday after training with his new temamates for the first time on Wednesday morning, reports Completesports.com.
Osimhen joined Lille from Belgian club, Sporting Charleroi last week, penning a five-year contract.
“Proof that #SuperEagles really can fly #VictorOsimhen #Training @NGSuperEagles,” reads a tweet on Lille’s official Twitter handle, describing Osimhen’s action photo from a training session.
Osimhen is so far Les Dogues’ biggest profile signing of the summer and much will be expected from him following the departure of Rafael Leao and Nicolas Pepe to AC Milan and Arsenal respectively.
The young striker comes with a huge reputation after scoring 20 goals in 36 league appearances for Sporting Charleroi last season.
Lille finished in second position in the French Ligue 1 behind money bags Paris Saint Germain last season and will compete in the Champions League in the 2019/2020 season.

All the best in this your new adventure my Guy. Do make us understand that in the absence of Ighalo you can run the show and run it even better. I love your scoring instincts. We Nigerian football aficionados are all behind you to be an instant success at Lille metropole.
It is a great opportunity for Osimhen to prove himself in Champions League football. Pepe left Lille and I wish Osimhen a fruitful stay in the new club.
Nice one. Increase your work rate and positioning as to score goals.
Make every moment count and always stay low.
Congrats
