The player was hampered by persisient injury and also missed around one month due to his participation at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite Napoli’s failure to successfully defend their title, the striker has maintained his status as a proven goal scorer in the Italian top-flight.
Osimhen has scored 15 goals and provided three assists in 24 league appearances for the Partenopei this season.
Only Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez (24 goals) and Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus (16 goals) have scored more goals than him this season.

He doesn’t deserve this mention based on his performance this season. Question marks on Italian league for this???
You will need to consider number of matches played, Despite been away from AFCON , The media chaos about cocoanut video by his club, injuries, under performance of his colleaugues and poor recruitment by Napoli. This is a fantastic return. If he had the same game time with Lautaro and Vlahovic he would have competed for the highest goal scorer conviniently again. Give the guy his props , he is a world class poacher and that is what the Serie A recognises.
Ayo thank you. Stats does not lie. That means with the number of matches he played, he is the most profilic striker in Italy this season.
Chima can you play score three goals in the Italian league (laugh).
Let’s accord that respect to this guy. One of the best in the world.
I pray he goes to PSG or arsenal at least where he can win tournaments. At arsenal he will win epl next season. At PSG he ll win French league, do a double and compete well in the champions league.
I will say this, he is 4th in scoring with 15 goals but he is injury prone. Another thing is that Napoli season was lack luster and they underperformed. It was bound to happen when Spalleti left to coach the national team. Then they got Rudi Garcia who got fired from Saudi Arabi and got fired too from Napoli. Then have the assistant coaching the team. They got spanked in r16 in champions league by barca with Osimhen not showing up, he doesnt show up deep into competitions. Happened in europa league too when they got beat bad by barcelona. Now napoli dont even qualify for europe, they are in 10th place!
Thats what I fear for Ademola Lookman. The coach is thinking about leaving because NAPOLI wants him, this will hijack atalanta season, especially for champions league, which makes no sense, the coach is moving down. If the coach leaves and they dont get a top coach, lookman should force a move.
False, Napoli already got conte for next season and gat nothing to do with Atalanta coach.
