Napoli manager Rudi Garcia is hopeful Victor Osimhen will end his goal drought in the UEFA Champions League clash against SC Braga.
The Nigeria international started the 2023/24 season in blistering form, scoring in the Partenopei’s opening two games of the season.
Osimhen however failed to hit target in Napoli’s last two league outings against Lazio and Genoa.
Garcia backed the striker to rediscover his scoring from against the Portuguese club.
“Osimhen started well with two goals in three games and we hope he can get back on target tomorrow (today),” Garcia was quoted by

“Kvara’s progress was stalled by an injury during pre-season, he missed the first game and then played only the second half of the next.
“I talked to him because I want him to be calm, he must be decisive. He hasn’t scored for a while, but he shouldn’t think about that, he needs to enjoy his football. It’d be already very positive if he provided an assist like the one against Sassuolo.
“This is the Champions League, everyone dreams of this tournament and these nights are made for players like Kvicha.”
Osimhen scored five goals for Napoli in the UEFA Champions League last season.
The Partenopei were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Serie A rivals AC Milan last season.
The Naples club won the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years last season.
