Victor Osimhen returned to Italy on Wednesday (today) after spending time in Nigeria.
Osimhen spent a couple of weeks in Nigeria, where he had been sorting out a personal matter regarding his brother-in-law, who is suing him for unpaid commission on the transfer from Lille.
The 24-year-old sustained an injury on international last month.
Napoli sporting director, Mauro Meluso confirmed Osimhen’s return on Wednesday.
“Osimhen is back. The medics will evaluate him tomorrow to see when he will be back on the field, it was predicted to be five or six weeks out when he first suffered the injury,” Meluso was quoted by Football Italia.

The Serie A champions have been locked in negotiations with Osimhen’s representatives over a new contract.
The striker will have a year remaining on his contract by next summer and the Partenopei want him to sign a two-year extension.
Meluso confirmed talks are still ongoing with the former Wolfsburg hitman.
“We have been talking about his contract for months, so even if the negotiations are getting on a bit, we will continue along the right path to take,” he added.
Osimhen has scored six goals in 10 appearances across all competitions for Napoli this season.
