Henry Onyekuru has expressed gratitude to both Everton and Galatasaray as he takes on a new challenge in Ligue 1 with AS Monaco.
Onyekuru completed a permanent switch from Everton to Monaco on Monday, signing a five year contract.
“I want to thank @everton for the opportunity and making it possible for me to experience the best year of my career at @galatasaray . My time in Turkey was nothing short of amazing! The supporters, the club and my teammates made me feel at home from Day 1! We made history Thank U,”reads a tweet on Onyekuru’s Twitter handle.
The 22-year-old moved to Everton from Belgian outfit, KAS Eupen in 2017, but never featured in any official game for the club.
The Nigeria international spent the 2017/2018 season on loan at Anderlect and won the Belgian Super Cup with the club.
He won the championship and the Turkish Cup while on loan at Galatasaray last season, scoring 16 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions.

Please where is Imoh Ezekiel?
Onyekuru, soar higher… Do exploits with tour talented door and ensure you stay out of injury.
@PH-Brand, Imoh Ezekiel is at KV Kortijrk in Belgium. He was an unused substitute this past Sunday. Hopefully the guy regains his mojo this Season, he’s a great winger like that of Finidi
I totally agree. Imoh Ezekiel is most underrate perhaps partly due is his recent poor goals-to-games ratio.
I do hope he has a more productive season. The maturity in wing-play can be very valuable.
Hahaha Imoh Ezekiel just expired like that within a twinkle of an eye…now bench warmer in his Belgium club
