THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR AL-HASSAN & ONYEDIKA TO PROVE THEIR THEMSELVES. AND ALSO PROVE THAT THEY ARE NOT A CHAMPION’S LEAGUE DEBUTANT FLOP.
How many players come remai for camp? Onyeka, Bassey, Osimhen, Awoniyi, Osho? They swear for this team injury ni?
I think we now have or know our first choice midfield combos. Ndidi Onyeka and Iwobi with Onyedika Alhassan and Bashiru as viable options. Others can be discovered as time goes on.
We have solid options as mentioned above by our CS analysts but the match against Mali will be a major test judging by their performance at the afcon were they also victims of bias officiating against host CIV, which landed the Mail coach at the ICU after he collapsed. A lot of dramas unfolded at the afcon just to make sure the host emerge champions. Only to find the same champions drawing to a mediocre Rohr’s Benin Yeye dey smell for CAF and FIFA.
There’re two players of SE that went to afcon to discover themselves they are Onyeka and bassey. Onyeka is one of our best midfielders now, he discovered himself during afcon but I’ve always have believe in him. I knew he was playing below his ability, same with Onyedika and Alhassan is our latest discovery, so no cause for the alarm.
