Frank Onyeka was in action for Brentford who kicked off the new Premier League season with a 2-1 home win against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
Onyeka came on for DR Congo star Yoane Wissa, who bagged the winner for Brentford.
The AFCON 2023 silver medal winner came on and helped his side see out the remainder to begin their campaign on a perfect note.
Indomitable Lions of Cameroon forward Bryan Mbeumo gave Brentford the lead on 29 minutes after receiving a pass from Wissa, cut inside from the left before volleying past the Palace keeper.
Palace equalized in the 56th minute after Ethan Pinnock turned a headed cross into his own net.
But in the 76th minute Wissa grabbed the winner as he bundled the ball home off a rebound.
