Paul Onuachu has revealed that his main aim is to help Genk secure a playoff spot in the Belgian Pro League this season, reports Completesports.com.
The Nigeria international scored once and also provided an assist as Genk defeated KV Kortrijk 2-0 on Sunday.
The goal was Onuachu’s 16th of the campaign.
The Smurfs are now eighth on the table and so within the bracket for Europa League and Conference League playoffs after the regular season in Belgium.
The 27-year-old was top scorer in the league with 33 goals last term, but has stated his main is to see his team finish higher on the table.

“To be honest, I’m not working on that,” Onuachu told Het Belang Van Limburg.
“I am happy with the number of goals that I have already collected.
“Well, 16 is not wrong, especially if you consider that we are currently in eight position . I’m happy with that.
“My ambition is to score weekly and thus help the team to the necessary points. We’ll see how far I get with that.
“This season is far from over. When I look at the classification, Play-Off 2 also promises to be a tough job. The competition will not be underestimated. But we are in the good flow, and we have to keep it up.”
