Nigeria forward Paul Onuachu is determined to remain at Trabzonspor after his impressive loan stint at the club.
Onuachu joined Trabzonspor last summer and has impressed at the club, registering 17 goals and four assists in 25 matches.
The Black Sea Storm want to sign him on a permanent basis but have been put off by Southampton’s €15m fee.
Their proposal to extend the loan was rejected by Southampton, who are open to only a permanent departure.

According to Turkish news outlet, Kuzey Ekspres the Nigeria international is keen to stay in Turkey rather than return to England.
Onuachu joined Southampton from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk on a three-year contract in January 2023.
The striker however struggled to adapt to life in England, failing to score in all 12 of his appearances for the Saints.
The big forward is in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa and Benin Republic.
