The dream of playing in the EPL even if it means sitting on the bench or joining a team that’s fighting regulation
Not a good move . You special about leaving a champions league contender to a relegation contender no matter the leagues.Better stay put
Why are Nigerian players always interested in going to EPL relegation bound clubs? Does it mean they are not capable to play for higher clubs? Last season it was Okoye,
Samuel Kalu, Troost-Ekong William and others. This season it is Joe Aribo, now
Onuachu. Next will be who knows.
Onuachu wants to go and “prove himself” as usual.
I gave up on some people when they celebrated Awoniyi quitting Union Berlin (1pt behind Bayern in 2nd position in the Bundesliga) to go sign for Nottingham forest.
I dont know if it is media craze I should call it or lack of ambition, that is seeping through these players. I still cant wrap my head around choosing relegation battlers over teams perennial Europe contenders.
First it was Okoye who turned down AZ Alkmaar and OGC Nice to sign for Watford.
Then Awoniyi chose Nothingham Forrest over Union Berlin and RB Leipzig
Then Moffi turning down former UCL winner Olympic Marseille for OGC Nice
Now it Onuachu swapping Eintracht Frankfurt for Southampton.
I give up. Honestly, I give up.
But like I always say, its their careers, its their lives. Goodluck to them….!
Lol for these guys is about money and ego, plus most of these players are slaves to their agents, some of them can barely read or comprehend what’s their contracts. Very sad situation, especially the case of Awoniyi .
Who advises these guys, how will Onuachu think that premier league is a league for him. Onuachu is not a player that can flourish in premier league. This players need to consider their style of football before they make moves.
For these guys, it about their weekly wages as am sure English team pays them better and some of them knows that their career is winning down by the day. I wish them well anyway.
