The Anambra State city of Onitsha is currently agog and bustling with the RemmyUche Soccer Challenge Cup 2022 which has entered the Second Round following a very enthralling showcase of abundant grassroots football talents in the First Round, Completesports.com reports.
The 2022 edition of the annual football tournament which started on Sunday, August 21, 2022, is a 32-team tournament that arguably is now the biggest sporting event in Anambra State.
The 16-team maiden edition of the RemmyUche Soccer Challenge Cup last year was won by Jimbaz FC who went home with N1.5million prize money. But the stakes are higher in the ongoing second edition of the tournament courtesy of the billionaire sole sponsor, Chief/Surveyor Remigius Uchenna Anyadike (Akuchukwu 1 of Umudioka).
