Spanish-born Nigerian striker Samuel Omorodion’s proposed move from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea has collapsed.
Omorodion was expected to join the Chelsea for a reported fee of €40 million.
But according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein the deal will not happen.
According to the transfer expert the deal collapsed due to issues regarding personal terms.
Omorodion was set to sign a seven-year contract at Chelsea after the Blues had agreed a fee with Atletico Madrid, however the deal has fallen through due to a dispute over contractual terms.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Alaves and scored eight goals in 35 appearances for the club.
He was member of the Spanish team that won the gold medal in the men’s football event at the just concluded Paris Olympics.
