Kenneth Omeruo hopes he can secure a permanent move to Spanish side, Leganes in the coming days after enjoying a successful loan stint with the club last season, Completesports.com reports.
Leganes have been locked in discussion with Chelsea for the defender after the expiration of his loan deal last season.
Chelsea reportedly turned down a bid of €4m for the Nigeria international early in the summer and valued him around €6m.
Spanish news outlet, Marca reported on Tuesday that Léganes have increased their bid to €4.5m and is still no official response from Chelsea on their latest bid.
“Leganes is a team that I want to be a part of because their coach and the club trust me, and they want to give me many opportunities. I am happy that they are making efforts, and have increased their offer,” Omeruo told Marca.
Omeruo who is yet to play an official game for Chelsea, made 28 league appearances for Leganes last season.
The Nigeria international linked up with Chelsea from Belgian club, Standard Liege in January 2012 and was immediately loaned out to Dutch Eredivisie
outfit, ADO Den Haag.
He also had loan stints with English Championship side Middlesbrough, as well as Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor in the Turkish League.

Better for you, my guy. I don’t think Abrahamovic and Chelsea really have any place for you in the team (except maybe now under Lampard, who seems to favour younger/academy players, partly because of the current ban). Besides, your kinsman, Mike Emenalo who brought you is no longer in the club. But wait, why would they value Omeruo at €6m and the 2 teams are still haggling sef? Skin colour and nationality certainly plays a role in a player’s valuation in the European football transfer market, not so much the talent.
Reports that Chelsea and leganese have agreed £5m are coming in this evening. looks like a done deal
