Michael Olise has signed a new four-year deal at Crystal Palace, according to chairman Steve Parish, talkSPORT reports.
Chelsea had been heavily linked with a move for the winger in a deal that could have cost them £35million.
However, such a transfer has now been thrown in doubt as Olise has opted to extend his stay at Selhurst Park.
Taking to social media, Parish announced that Palace are set to hold onto one of their brightest talents for longer.
“I’m absolutely delighted to announce Olise has decided to commit his future to Crystal Palace football club and this afternoon signed a new four year deal with the club.”
Palace boss Roy Hodgson also said: “It’s the best possible news we could have. The decision has been his [Olise’s]. I must congratulate Parish and [sporting director] Dougie Freedman on a fantastic job.”
Olise, who is currently nursing a hamstring injury, scored two goals and provided 11 assists for Palace last season after signing from Reading in 2021.
Manchester City also held an interest but reports claimed that Olise preferred a move to the Blues, although this now looks unlikely.

An AVERAGE NIGERIAN is AFRAID of COMPETITION..
AFRAID to take up new CHALLENGES…
AFRAID to FIGHT his way through from the BOTTOM to the TOP..
Cos I don’t get WTF will you SNUB a MASSIVE CLUB like CHELSEA, MANCITY and OPT for PALACE?
WHY!!!????
I wish I know this guy’s agent, first he made him rejecting Nigeria for France under 21 knowing fully well that to play for France no be beans. Now rejecting Chelsea to remain a local champion for palace. I just pray he won’t end up like Jordon Ibe, Dominic Solanke , Sydney Sam etc.
To Play for Nigeria should not be beans either but our Mediocre minded Organisation makes it so. there should be More competition for places during selection process and also during the match days however because of evil people in glass house this is not the case.
Now @MONKEY POST as always you are talking rubbish and a big hypocrite because if you really believe that you will not support the inclusion of Musa in Super Eagles fool, and Chelsea is not really a big team any longer
“CHEALSEA is not a BIG CLUB”.SMH.come @UGO IWUNZE why don’t you go for a REHAB?Don’t WORRY I will FOOT the BILLS…
I think he turned down Chelsea for footballing reasons.Truth be told, he will struggle for game time at Chelsea given the array of already established stars that they bought that are way ahead of him.It is better he continue his development at Crystal Palace as he is only 21.He will move to a bigger club when he develop more.He will face the same problem with the French team as well as all the players are young ,ahead of him and playing for bigger teams.Who will he dislodge?
Chelsea is too crowded, they just stacking players. He will most likely be a bench player or be loaned out. Idk if the new owner is trying to follow abromovich tactics. Olise was always weird and different. They said he unfollowed everybody on the team even though they didn’t do anything wrong. Also chelsea is for biafrans, too many of them. He is gonna continue his development at palace. But when he gets to chelsea his stock will drop with little to no game time. Only chelsea was chasing him just now. He probably prefers other teams.
Also France is way better than Nigeria, stop playing yourselves. Better a bench on a winning french team than starting for a terrible team
