Strange why Waldrum doesn’t like Okobi, in spite of all her hard work and creativity on the field. But his girlfriend, Ifeoma Onumonu will always be the first on the list, even if she can’t score in 30 matches.
Spot on o!
Ngozi Okobi is the only officially married Super Falcon, and maybe she has other things to do away from soccer. But she should have been there instead of Franscesca Ordega
Rather instead of Onumonu!@Kel was right. We are going to the world cup with many strikers most of whom will not participate in the tournament.
At senior female levels outside Africa we play less on the front foot.We absorb rather than put on pressure on our opponents which puts us on the back foot most of the time especially against stronger sides which we are condemned to face in the mundial. So a team that is expected to play more defensive than attack is expected to go to a competition with fewer strikers and a loaded midfield.
After evaluating players on the roster,i noticed we are light in the midfield,so one addition in that departmnent would make more sense,a striker(Onumonu)for a midfielder(Ikobi)
Someone replied in Punch news that “the girls are primed to come home early anyway” so I think we should just temper our expectations. As they say, “the coach knows best”.
But it is remarkable that Nigerian coaches conspire to anger fans. Then I check they owe no obligations to us so…
Where is the story here?
How do you expect us to be using this old empty waldrope in this modern days where a Nigerian coach can katapot this team to wcup semis. Dr drey cannot produce afrobeat better than Don jazzy, despite he is bigger than don jazzy in music industry worldwide. Nff please allow africa to coach africa, okobi with all energy and experience is not in our midfield, even if not as a starter she deserve to be there, tony payne, omonomu and gift monday are not more deserving than okobi if the coach is really a coach. Also Orban and borniface are not in the supereagles ebuehi not there, nor be juju be this
I reserve my comment for now.
It still surprise me with the kind of country in our group that the coach and NFF didn’t include this girl in the midfield.
Kashimawo.
Nigeria are too critical of their coaches..
What did okobi play in the recent friendlies? She is not in the team because of a certain girl called Jennifer and another called okoronkwo..
These ladies have taken her position and this happens in football.. Jennifer wasn’t meant to be in the team for the world cup as she is new to the team but her performances have been too superb to ignore..
It is sad for okobi but this is football..
