Enugu Rangers coach Gbenga Ogunbote has blamed his side’s 1-0 loss to Wikki Tourists on the last day of the abridged NPFL regular season to loss of concentration and the absence of some of his regular starters, reports Completesports.com.
Manu Garba scored the only goal of the encounter to seal the win for Wikki Tourists.
Despite the defeat, Rangers have booked a place in Super Six play-offs.
“It was a great match that my players gave their all, but for that momentary loss of concentration that resulted in the goal,” Ogunbote said in his post-match interview.
“We take back the positives from this encounter with the hope of infusing it into our play at the end of season playoffs.
“Wikki is a good team no doubt, but the absence of some of my key players contributed in some ways to this result.
“It has been a very good first half of the abridged season and we hope for a better second half at the ‘Super-Six’.”
