Igoh Ogbu was included in the Europa League Team of the Week for his performance for Slavia Prague on Thursday night.
Ogbu scored in Slavia Prague’s 6-0 win against FC Sheriff in Group G.
The former Flying Eagles defender scored in the 7th minute to double Slavia Prague’s lead.
It is the 23-year-old’s second goal in the group stage after also scoring in the win against Servette on match day one.
Following his display, whoscored.com included Ogbu in their best 11.
Also in the list are former Spain and Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina and West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta.

Ogbu was a member of the Flying Eagles squad that featured at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.
He started his career with Gombe United in Nigeria, before joining Norwegian club Rosenborg in February 2018, where he signed a four-year contract.
He had loan spells with Levanger and Sogndal and joined the latter permanently in June 2020. On 29 January 2021, he joined Lillestrøm on a five-year contract.

Just like our GK department our center defense is not good enough yet and this is one player that I have been waiting for his invitation. I hope he will not be in a bad form before they invite him just to mock him???
Ogbu, Tella, and Al-hassan should be considered as replacements for the injured Aina, Tonuaghara and Onyedika. These two players performed really well yesterday.

As for regularity and goal scoring, both Torunarigha and Ogbu are on the same level there. There records is there for anyone who is following them to see.
The only thing l have to say is that Omeruah is becoming more and more slow despite the fact that he is one of the finest ball playing defenders in Eagles
like Ogbu and Torunarigha.
Troost Ekong is slowing down too. His major case is ball playimg from the back and confidence.
Igoh Ogbu should just be invited just like Torunarigha and other inform dynamic nd technically gifted defenders like Onyemaechi and Osayi-Samuel + others in the team now.
And, our goalkeeping nd maybe, creative midfield departments (glad to see Bashiru invited though) need urgent attention.

I think in the goal keeping area, A certain NOAH ATUBOLU who is the current goal keeper of frieburg in Germany can be drafted in, despite having dual citizenship for both Nigeria and Germany, he could be be the solution in that goal keeping department. Then Ogbu, Jordan Tourunarigha,bassey,onyemaechi, osayi-samuel,Aina,ebuehi and Awaziem are good to go for the defence In the midfield area, Alhassan yusuf,Fikayo Dele Bashiru can also be tried alongside the midfield players we have presently.The in the attack the likes of Nathan Tella, Gift Orban and Chuba Akpom should be given a look in going forward
