Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace.
Bayern confirmed the signing in a statement on their website on Sunday.
The deal which will run until 2029 is reported to be worth €60 million.
“FC Bayern have signed Michael Olise. The 22-year-old forward moves to Munich from English Premier League club Crystal Palace on a five-year contract valid through to 30 June 2029,” the statement read.
Max Eberl, Bayern board member for sport describe Olise as a player who can make the difference and attracted great interest with his style of play.
“We want new impetus in our team, new energy, new ideas – that’s what players like Michael Olise stand for. During the talks, he quickly signalled that he really wanted to join FC Bayern. We’re very much looking forward to him. He will enrich our game.”

Commenting on the signing Christoph Freund, Bayern sporting director, described Olise as quick, tricky, a goal threat and very versatile in attack and that his goals and assists stats are already outstanding.
“At the age of 22, Michael is already very advanced, but is also hungry and still has a lot of potential. Fans come to the stadium to see players like Michael Olise.”
Olise is part of the French U-23 squad that will feature at this year’s Paris Olympics.
