Nigerian trio William Troost-Ekong, Emmanuel Dennis and Samuel Kalu will be playing in the English Championship (second division) next season, after Watford were officially relegated from the Premier League on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.
Watford’s relegation was confirmed after they lost 1-0 away to Crystal Palace thanks to a Wilfried Zaha first half penalty.
While Dennis and Troost-Ekong featured in the game, Etebo and Kalu were benched.
Etebo joined Watford on loan from Championship club Stoke City while Maduka Okoye will move to the Hornets next season from Sparta Rotterdam.
The Hornets were reduced to 10 men following the sending off of Hassane Kamara for a second bookable offense.
Recall Watford only gained promotion to the English topflight last season and have now suffered the drop with Norwich.
Palace opened the scoring in the 31st through Zaha after Kamara was penalized for handball.

And in seven minutes of added time, Conor Coady headed the ball over the line to send the away fans delirious
And in other results, Burnley’s survival hopes suffered a setback after they lost 3-1 at home to Aston Villa while Brentford thrashed Southampton 3-0.

Maybe people will start taking the super computer predictions seriously. Lmao! Unfortunately it’s sad for our delegates in Watford. Hopefully they get other suitors. It was a woeful season indeed for Watford faithfuls.
Later they will be boasting that they have the best players in Africa. But look at them: four Chickens elegated to the Championship at the same time. If they were so good, why couldn’t they save their club?
I noticed you didn’t talk about the 4 Eagles in European final competitions playing in the starting line for Glasgow Rangers and Feyenoord.
Only one ‘black hole’ player Afena Gyan is playing in a European final, and he’s a bench warmer.
Yoboro or Yeboha you see your life, we have congratulated you guys and wish guys well.
But I noticed you and selfmade still continue to come here to comment and to say all kinds of things.
Save all this energy for black star, advise the coach on how the team will perform well at the world cup. Leave Nigeria alone and concentrate on how black star will not just be among the numbers.
Qualifing is one thing, going to tournament to do well is another thing.
U just came to type hateful comments. I pity u. Face ur country and leave us alone . I blame Nigerians that accommodates ur people especially in nollywood because all ur people do is turn around and bite the fingers that fed them. Bunch of ingrates
DENNIS, YOUR EYES HAS OPEN NOW.
YOUR FOLLOW AFRICA MAN(Sarr) & COUNTRY MAN(Troost-Ekong) CAME TO AFCON, BUT YOU REFUSE TO COME TO AFCON BECAUSE OF YOUR TOP FORM AT WATFORD WHICH YOU ARE CARRIED AWAY WITH IT. YOU EVEN COLLABORATE WITH YOUR COACH RANIERI TO TELL LIE TO NIGERIA THAT HE SAW THE INVITATION AT LATE HOUR.
### BUT ATLAST:
1. YOUR COACH THAT TELL LIES GOT SACK FOR POOR RESULTS
2. SINCE AFTER AFCON YOU ARE UNABLE TO HIT FORM & SCORED GOALS LIKE BEFORE.
3. MY CLUB, MY CLUB, YOU EVENTUALLY GOT RELEGATED AT LAST.
HOW WONDER HOW YOU ARE GOING TO GET AN OFFER THAT WILL BE MUCH BETTER THAN WATFORD. BECAUSE YOU LEFT CLUB BRUGGE, YOU HAVE NOT BEEN PLAY WITH CLUB THAT IS FEATURING IN CHAMPION LEAGUE OR EUROPA LEAGUE.
YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR NATIONAL TEAM.
Iwoking of Everton is likely to join the wagon
If Nigeria should have a serious coach, none of these 4 players will ever be recalled to playing for Nigeria ever again. Luckily, Nigeria has 4 “super players” who are now going into the final in the Europa League to replace those deadwoods who just got relegated to playing in the second division next season. I watched the Watford match with unbelievable disbelief to see the way they approached their games. l now fully understand why Nigeria did not qualify for the World Cup. Even Bendel Insurance of Benin would have beaten Watford today.
