Championship club Watford have announced the return of Emmanuel Dennis, with the forward agreeing a loan deal with the Hornets until the end of the season.
The Hornets announced Dennis’ return in a statement on their website watfordfc.com.
The 26-year-old spent the first half of this season on loan with Istanbul Başakşehir, but makes his return to Vicarage Road for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.
Dennis featured 35 times for Watford during the 2021/22 Premier League season – including two appearances in the cup – scoring 10 goals and grabbing six assists before moving to Nottingham Forest in August 2022, having last featured for the Hornets in the opening two Championship fixtures of the season.
He scored five goals over a six-game period between late November and early December, and earned a nomination for Premier League Player of the Month in November 2021.
Dennis started his career in Ukraine with Zorya Luhansk, before moving to Belgium to sign with Club Brugge.

A highlight of his time with the Belgian Pro League outfit was scoring a brace in the Champions League away at the Bernabéu as his side earned a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid.
He made 119 appearances for Club Brugge, scoring 29 goals, before joining the Hornets for his first spell with the club.
A move to Forest followed towards the end of the summer 2022 transfer window, where he started six times in the Premier League last season, scoring two goals.
Dennis’ 2023/24 season started with a six-month stint in Turkey but will end back in yellow and black, with 25 once again on his shirt.
He was initially named in the Super Eagles provisional squad for the 2023 AFCON but did not make the final 25-man squad.

This guy is one of the major reasons why we didn’t qualify for 2022 World Cup in Front of our massive home crowd. Instead of Eguavoen to stick to the people who fought to secure a difficult draw in Kumasi (Ghana), he bowed to online coaches pressure and fielded this school-boy footballer who kept dribbling himself!
