Dennis joined Club Brugge in 2017 and spent the latter part of the 2020-21 season on loan at Cologne.
A Watford statement read: “An agreement with Club Brugge has been reached for the transfer of exciting young forward Emmanuel Dennis, Watford FC is delighted to confirm.
“A scorer of 27 goals in just over 90 club appearances for Brugge, he has featured in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
“The Hornets are currently finalising personal terms with the pacey striker – capped twice by Nigeria so far – who began his professional career with some experience as a teenager in the Ukrainian Premier League with Zorya Luhansk.”
Dennis is poised to become Watford’s second attacking signing of the summer – Ashley Fletcher will join as a free agent on July 1 when his contract with Middlesbrough expires.

Good move n congratulations to Denise. Many may critize your temperament but I think it’s fair to exercise caution on that because such temperament is only a sign of overflow of talent. My only advice is try not let it disrespect/destroy your relationship with colleagues/managers but vent all such temperament in hurting opponents. Jehovah God bless you Denise and all Deserving SE players.
And that was how media overhype and fans sycophancy almost ruined a budding career of a young player. Congrats to Dennis. Watford is now the Naija FC of the 2021/22 season with Dennis, Ekong, Success, Dele-Bashiru and Hungbo. Hope he secures a work permit though.
This is the type of surprise news we want about our players movement from one club to another.
Over the months, we have been hearing and reading all manner of speculations about Simy, Sadiq and Paul but yet, no reported bid has being tabled or rejected. I don’t know if these news are sponsored rumour carried out by our Sports reporters to draw attention from clubs?
This is another chance for Bonaventure to prove to all that his previous season performance was a one-off. It’s a new environment with different football culture and media frenzy zone he will be stepping into.
What more can I say, Bonaventure, you are highly welcome to the English league where there will be no hiding place for nonsense.
Dennis will fit in well with the EPL…. Dennis has pace and technique…He was actually very highly regarded in European football circles and great clubs actually came for him and Brugge placed a tangible price tag on him….It was the unfortunate bus sit incidence that ruined everything and Brugge had to set him out because he was down psychologically….His market value dropped after the failed loan stint at koln but A huge EPL club like Watford still wanted him and that tells you how highly rated he is in Europe.
Hope he keeps a cool head and makes good use of this opportunity.
