Chelsea have announced the signing of England-born Nigerian forward Noni Madueke from Eredivisie giants PSV.
The Blues confirmed Madueke signing in a statement released on Friday.
“The England youth international – one of the most exciting young talents across Europe – has penned a seven-and-a-half-year contract, with a club option to extend for a further year, to seal his move from the Eredivisie high-flyers.
“Madueke, a left-footed right winger, becomes our second addition of the week as he follows Mykhailo Mudryk through the doors at Stamford Bridge.
“The 20-year-old midfielder was born in Barnet and came through the ranks at Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur before leaving England to move to the Netherlands and sign for PSV.

“He was handed the No.10 shirt for the following campaign as he became a key member of the PSV side, providing six goal involvements in 18 outings, and has now opted to take up a new challenge with Chelsea in the Premier League.
“Chelsea would like to thank PSV for their cooperation in enabling Noni to take up this new opportunity.”

Going…Going…Gone! Like Saka and Abraham.
Unless he’s surrounded by people that’ll keep reminding him about Alli, Barkley, Abraham, Tomori and co.
@ Sean, if he wants to go same way, let him go. He is a fantastic talent no doubt. But truth is, we not gonna be able to get everyone of these foreign born. Some will accept, while some will turn down but one thing remains, NIGERIA is insanely blessed with football talents almost all over the world. Our problem has always been football management and hopefully,Gasau might just be the man to turn things around in terms of football management.
DIGRESSING A LIL BIT, I HAVE BEEN CLOSELY WATCHING THIS BOY NATHAN TELLA, THAT PLAYS FOR BURNLEY AND TO ME , HE MAY NOT BE VERY SKILLFUL BUT HE PACKS GOOD BALANCE TO PLAY AS AN ATTACKING MIDFIELDER VERY MUCH SIMILAR TO MUTIU ADEPOJU. PESEIRO SHOULD TRY HIM OUT IN A FRIENDLY. HE LOOKS VERY MUCH A NATIONAL TEAM FOOTBALLER.
For saka, abraham et al, they had already made up their minds not to play for Nigerian for reasons best known to them one of which was their desire to wear the jersey of the 3 lions whom they thought was better than ours. Almost the foreign born players playing for us today (Iwobi, ebuehi, dessers, ajayi, balogun, etc) did so because they wanted and ‘strongly’ desired to play for us and not really about being persuaded by the nff and other entities. Saka and abraham including tomori were persuaded by the nff and rohr to play for us but they had already made up their minds to play for england which made our approach look beggish and less persuasive. So, if he wants to play for england, no problem, he might finally end the way his brothers ( abraham, tomori et al) did. Like Glory rightly pointed out, we are blessed with talents that would never run dry. Our job is to have the right administration and administrators that would know how to harness and use these talents to our own benefit. It is their choice to make. We ain’t gonna beg anyone beyond the official limit.
Thumbs up brotherman Oakfield. Let him go, we will find others.
